I’m Robin! A native Portlander, a graphic and web designer by trade, and a bit of a interior decor enthusiast by night (and weekend). I purchased my first house in 2011, a 1922 Craftsman bungalow, my ultimate passion project. Together I live in it with my husband Tim, the sweet gem of my life, our two cats, Tater and Bea, and my sidekick during the day, Cooper, our exuberant Golden Aussie.
And here I am starting a blog. The basis of which I’m still trying to uncover. The idea is this: I have a mission to share my passions. I’m a creative at heart with a strong appreciation of aesthetics and good design. I love home and making a place where I can be relaxed and comfortable. And I love making it beautiful. I’ve come to appreciate old things, items that show their history, whether that’s an old dresser or a vintage camera. I call myself a fixer, a lover items that have been neglected, that need a little affection and probably a coat of paint or two. Tim calls me the champion for the preservation of all things made with care and attention. I call myself a hoarder with a bit of an addiction. My “I can make that beautiful” attitude can get me into trouble. On top of that I also love a treasure hunt and a good deal, a dangerous, but amazing combination. I love saying I found this thing in a bin for $5 and now it looks like a million bucks. I’m a maker with a mission: to spread the beauty, the knowledge and the experience I’ve gained in creating this world around me.
