USB has been the go-to connector for many years, their indispensable plugs connecting our gadgets without fail. As a long term partner with USB-IF, Zoom Creates worked to develop the USB Does It Better ad campaign that was used to highlight the benefits of USB and their latest connector shape USB Type-C. USB Type-C allows for reversible plug orientation in a compact design that supports USB 3.1 and USB power delivery. It has all the great benefits that you would expect with USB, but even better.
USB Does it Better Ad Campaign Details
The new campaign centered around the concept “USB Does it Better” and used three direct and central messages: “Performance. Power. Convenience”, “USB Type-C — Sleek Robust Reversible” and “USB — The Single Cable Solution”. The messages were used to both grow awareness of the brand from their consumer audience and highlight and introduce the new USB Type-C cable and connector. The USB Does It Better ad campaign was used across both print and digital platforms including a feature full page skin ad on CNET.com and accompanying digital ad placements. In conjunction with these items, we also developed a series of airport banner advertisements that were displayed at the Las Vegas airport during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
